When I came to the United Kingdom for 10 months of work, I took on a role as senior digital editor for the University of Cambridge’s political blog, In the Long Run.
I was tasked with article presentation and improving our social media numbers, which helped our web traffic and increased our engagement rates on Twitter by roughly 40 per cent in a few months.
But my main contribution was producing a series of video interviews with Cambridge scholars and academics, The Cambridge Minute. Though I had very few resources, it was a great chance to stretch my videography muscles with a challenge: turn the often-flat delivery of academia into a visually stimulating few minutes.
